What are Southern Elegance candles made of?

Our candles and wax melts are made with a paraffin-soy wax blend and fragrance. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches in Raeford, North Carolina.

Are your candles made to order?

Yes. We pour to order rather than keeping shelves of finished stock, so your candle is made for you after you place your order. Slight variations between candles are part of the handcrafted, made-to-order process and are expected.

What sizes do you offer?

Our mason jar candles are 12 oz net weight (in a 16 oz jar), and our canning jar candles are 9 oz net weight (in a 12 oz jar). Our travel tin candles are 6 oz, and our jumbo wax melts are 5 oz. Most scents are available as a mason jar candle, a 6 oz travel tin, or a jumbo wax melt, and some collections also come in canning jar candles.

How long will my candle burn?

With the wick trimmed and the first burn done right, our large mason jar candles burn for about 65 hours, our canning jar candles for about 50 hours, and our 6 oz travel tins for about 25 hours. Burn times vary a little with how the candle is burned and cared for. For wax melts, each cube of our 5 oz jumbo melts gives about 5 hours of fragrance in a warmer.

What is the free car diffuser offer?

Every order of $50 or more includes a free car diffuser, added by us when we pack your order. Car diffusers are not sold separately; they are our standing thank-you on orders over $50.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is a flat $6.99 on US orders under $100. US orders of $100 or more ship free.

What is your return policy?

You have 7 days from the date of purchase to return an item. Items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, and in the original packaging, with your receipt or proof of purchase. Only regular-priced items can be refunded; sale items cannot be refunded, and custom items cannot be returned unless they arrived damaged in shipping. Email us first at cs@secandleco.com so we can walk you through it. You are responsible for your own return shipping costs.

What if my candle arrives damaged or defective?

We replace items that are defective or damaged. Contact us within 5 days of receiving your order, with a photograph and a description of the damage, at cs@secandleco.com. Please keep all packaging and do not use the product until we have documented the damage, and we will arrange an exchange for the same item.

How do I take care of my candle?

A few simple habits help any candle burn well. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let the wax melt across the top of the candle before putting it out. Keep your candle on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Do you offer bundles?
